Cotton Woods is not on the Encanto irrigation line & Wednesday 6/24 sprinkler testing

Hello all!

We just heard a rumor that the irrigation water might be off for a couple of days. That applies to Encanto irrigation line water users, which Cotton Woods is not associated with, so the outage will not affect us.

Headgates have been turned down by 20% already, but this has not had much of an effect on us yet. Do keep in mind that as the irrigation season continues that we may at some point be affected. When and how much is a mystery, but we will share information as it filters in.

This Wednesday we will be testing zones and making repairs, so the pumps will be on and off intermittently. There is no watering on Wednesdays, so this should not affect neighbors, but we would ask that you not plan any repairs that cannot be isolated with your main valve from the Main Lines, or you might get wet.

Neighbors discovered, in the early morning light, that there was a flood in the area of Catkin Street. Pumps were turned off so the location of the leak could be determined and repairs can be made. We will update the Blog when the pumps are back on. July 2, 2026 Pumps off update July 3 update July 7

Hello friends, We have a leak on the west side of the subdivision that cannot be isolated. We turned the pumps off and will have someone take a look at the damage tomorrow. Sorry for any inconvenience! Update 7/03: This break is a little deeper than we had anticipated. We are getting it prepared for a fix next week: most supply stores are closed for the holiday. Stay safe this weekend! Update 07/07: the main line has been repaired and the pumps will be running tonight. Please stick to the watering schedule. ;)

Water in the 440 Lateral 4/11/2026

Thank you to everyone that helped with the lateral clean-up this morning! Water is running, but it is very dirty, as you can see in the picture. We will begin pressure testing the system the week of April 20. Please close your Main Valve now, and we will update you when it is safe to begin irrigating. Watering schedules are available on the website. A word of warning: water levels are very low in the river. This may be a rough year if we don't get some much needed precipitation.
