The Sheeple have arrived!

Today at around 4:30 pm the fencing was put into place and the sheep were released into the east side of the common area along the Compton Drainage Ditch. They are working sheep and will be with us for the next several weeks to mitigate the weeds in the area.

Please do not touch the electric fence, especially without grounding shoes (zap!), and keep an eye on your small children. The chain link fences are not electrified, and the sheepherders encourage kind interactions with the animals. Animal crackers will be provided, and we ask that you not feed the sheep other treats for their safety.

Cameras have been set up and the sheepherders will be monitoring the area for activity. Please do not cross the fences, these have been placed for the sheep's and your safety. If you observe any safety concerns, please contact Robert or Kyle Andrews at 970-260-2130.

We will be announcing "Meet the Sheepherders" events soon to give you an opportunity to meet the High Country Environmental Grazing team, to ask any questions you may have, and to learn more about the benefits of utilizing sheep rather than relying on heavy equipment or chemical pesticides.
