Low Water levels 06/26/2025 - this is normal for this time of year UPDATED

Hello everyone!

Our neighboring farmers have cut their alfalfa and are now flooding their fields, which means we are not receiving as much water to our irrigation holding tank.

We have a float system in our irrigation holding tank that will shut the pumps down before they run out of water, keeping us from burning the pumps up.

We will keep an eye on the situation, but the water levels should improve in a few days. This is a normal occurrence and happens a few times every year.

UPDATE 1245 06/28/2025:

The main canal is down about a foot. We have a call in to the ditch rider to find out why. If you have missed waterings we will leave the pumps on from noon to six this Saturday and Sunday so you can get some water on your landscaping. This will mean no repairs can be made in the middle of the day this weekend. We hope the water levels will come back up soon and we won't have to run the pumps for extra hours during the heat of the day. Thank you for being kind as we all suffer through this together.

For those of you that followed directions, THANK YOU!  We have completed the pressure test and common area checks. All leaks have been located and isolated for repair. We are now comfortable letting the system run unattended. Should you discover a leak, please attempt to isolate with your Main Valve. If the Main Valve has failed or the break cannot be isolated, please do call 970-639-4061. Once we get all of the sprinklers located along the back trail we will bring in a contractor to lay down additional gravel on the trail now that we are confident it will no longer be washed away. Do stick to the schedule. We have 183 residences with equal time allotments and enough water and pressure to accommodate everyone if everyone follows the watering schedule. Happy Autumn! - 2025

Some of you have been asking about personal sprinkler system blow-outs (winterization). We are happy to share the landscaping contractor's information with you. Schedule now.  Also a few other Autumn things to take into consideration: Boats, trailers, campers, ATVs cannot be parked in your driveway. According to the covenants they must be in a garage or behind a six-foot fence at all times. Years ago the Board waived this covenant from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It is now time to remove your toys, park them in the garage or get them behind the fence. If the Board finds that neighbors do not comply, the summertime waiver will be removed. Speaking of trailers, per the City of Fruita there is an ordinance against parking trailers on City streets for more than a twelve (12) hour loading/unloading period. Saturday April 19, 2025 - Pumps are Off

Good morning! We had to shut down the pumps. A neighbor had a break that cannot be isolated. This is perfectly normal this time of year as neighbors discover breaks that occurred over the winter. The repair will be made and we will pressure test the system again. Please leave your Main Valve closed. Thank you!
