Trail Closures for Collaborative Clean Up of Compton Drainage Ditch

The start date for the clean-up will be this Saturday, August 24, 2024 at approximately 0900 hours.

Most of the work will take place on the weekends, but there may be occasional weekday workdays between 1630 and 2000 hours (after children have been to school and back).

Most of the major work of getting the trees cut and removed is anticipated to take until the end of September. Then when the irrigation water is turned off November 1, the contractor will be removing the grass and bushes.

Below is the signage that will be placed at the trail entrances on A-frame barricades, alerting neighbors that it is not safe to enter the area during construction. Please avoid the area and ensure your kiddos don't wander back there for everyone's safety.

For those of you that followed directions, THANK YOU!  We have completed the pressure test and common area checks. All leaks have been located and isolated for repair. We are now comfortable letting the system run unattended. Should you discover a leak, please attempt to isolate with your Main Valve. If the Main Valve has failed or the break cannot be isolated, please do call 970-639-4061. Once we get all of the sprinklers located along the back trail we will bring in a contractor to lay down additional gravel on the trail now that we are confident it will no longer be washed away. Do stick to the schedule. We have 183 residences with equal time allotments and enough water and pressure to accommodate everyone if everyone follows the watering schedule. Happy Autumn! - 2025

Some of you have been asking about personal sprinkler system blow-outs (winterization). We are happy to share the landscaping contractor's information with you. Schedule now.  Also a few other Autumn things to take into consideration: Boats, trailers, campers, ATVs cannot be parked in your driveway. According to the covenants they must be in a garage or behind a six-foot fence at all times. Years ago the Board waived this covenant from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It is now time to remove your toys, park them in the garage or get them behind the fence. If the Board finds that neighbors do not comply, the summertime waiver will be removed. Speaking of trailers, per the City of Fruita there is an ordinance against parking trailers on City streets for more than a twelve (12) hour loading/unloading period. Saturday April 19, 2025 - Pumps are Off

Good morning! We had to shut down the pumps. A neighbor had a break that cannot be isolated. This is perfectly normal this time of year as neighbors discover breaks that occurred over the winter. The repair will be made and we will pressure test the system again. Please leave your Main Valve closed. Thank you!
