Pumps turned off due to muddy conditions
We have turned the pumps off and have diverted the water due to the heavy silt load in the ditch water (which caused damages to the City of Fruita's irrigation line - don't worry- we are not associated with their irrigation system).
When there are heavy rains upstream it often leads to very muddy river water. The muddy water can damage our pumps, the irrigation lines, and can clog private sprinklers. After receiving a couple of concerned calls and determining the water would not be clearing up soon, we elected to wait out the mud. When the pumps are back up and running, we will notify you here. Thank you for your patience.
