Diagnosing Loss of Pressure on Pumps 06/09/2023 ... UPDATE 06/17/2023
Good morning. This morning we are finding the pumps are only pushing out 35 psi, which indicates there may be a break in the line somewhere in the subdivision. If you have a break, or witness an area that looks like a small lake, please contact the HOA.
When the issue has been identified, we will update you here.
This year has been terrible for silt in the irrigation water. If your sprinklers haven't been working as well as past years, you can check the filters. As for our holding tank, it's pretty full so we have put in a call to the jetter-vac truck to come pay us a visit. We may have to shut down the pumps for a day to get this done, but we'll keep you posted.
UPDATE 06/17/2023:
We were unable to find a leak and have discovered our 10 HP Pump (which is the slave to supplement pressure when the 7.5 HP is being taxed) is non-responsive and is going into sleep mode. We will have to have it pulled to have a professional take a look at it. It may need to be replaced.
Until then, we need EVERYBODY to take a look at the watering schedule to ensure you are irrigating on the corrects days and times. If you can, please consider irrigating during the pm times as we are seeing a majority of neighbors prefer the am hours and the 7.5 pump cannot keep up with demand. With the slave not working correctly, this is putting extra pressure on the 7.5 and we don't want to burn it up or there will be no irrigating for a spell.
Thank you so much for your help with this. As always, we will keep you posted here.
